Holding Rehearsals - bibliothèque sans papiers - installation
At the back of the temple, the Bibliotheque sans papiers, curated by Milady Renoir as an accomplice to La Voix des sans papiers, presents a wide range of books that address the issues at hand in the facts and stories that this exhibition recollects: necropolitics, systemic and structural processes of racialized and deadly police and state violence, as well as perspectives on emancipation, struggle, resistance, and abolition. The library is regularly activated, as part of the public programme, and the audience is invited to consult and read these books during the opening hours. For the design of the bookshelves, artist Arthur Jules based himself on a makeshift public library design.
